Making a bear for baby brother.

A couple weeks ago we headed to Cherry Creek Mall so Devin could make a teddy bear for his new little brother. He was excited to pick out a bear, name it (Cuddles), give it a bath and finally have it boxed up so it is ready to bring to the hospital. He was so very sweet about the whole experience.

My brother came to visit us last week. It was so nice having him here. Devin loves him so much and just loves spending time with him.

Loving Summer!

Summer here in Castle Rock is almost over. Here is a picture of Steve and Devin making smores in the backyard.

Uncle Brian Visits!

We were thrilled and lucky to have Uncle Brian come and visit us in Castle Rock for a weekend. Devin LOVED having him here!!!! I think I heard him say “Uncle Brian this way” about a hundred time. The boys had a nice time hiking the Rock on Saturday as well. It was almost 90 degrees…they were troopers!

Soccer!!!!!

Devin had his 1st soccer practice this week. Coach Steve did an awesome job. The kids seem to really like him.  They ran a few drills and did a lot of running. The kids voted on their team name as well..GOOOOOOO LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rafting!

1st day of Pre-K!!!!!

Devin started preschool again today. He was so excited and ready to get back into his classroom. His teacher Ms. Patti is great. He really likes her. I was surprised I got a little teary this year. My little guy is growing up so fast! Here are a couple pictures of him before we got to school and then a couple in his classroom.

T-BALL!!!!!

It is so hard for me to believe our little man is old enough for team sports. This summer he will play t-ball and come fall he will start soccer. He comes from a big soccer family, so I hope he loves it as much as his daddy, grandfathers and uncles :) Here are a couple of pictures from his first T-ball practice this past week.

Swim Lessons

So the time of year has come again for swim lessons at our local outdoor pool. Unfortunately the weather has been a little crazy lately. Poor Devin has been dealing with pretty chilly mornings for swim lessons, but is still having a good time. He is getting better at kicking and floating, but still needs a little more practice with getting his head underwater.

Our Big 4 Year Old!!!

Well the big event for May was Devin turning 4. I can’t believe our little baby is 4 years old already!!! Devin was so excited and lucky to spend his birthday with all his favorite people. Both sets of Grandparents came from California as well. He had a wonderful birthday party at Monkey Bizness and then spent his actually birthday bowling. Nothing cuter than watching a little person bowl :) Thank you to everyone who made Devin’s birthday so special! We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family!!!!!!!

Steve and I know just how lucky we are to have this little boy in our lives! He was not easy to come by, but man is he WORTH it!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET BOY!!!!!!!!! We love and adore you!

Easter 2009!

The Easter bunny came 4 TIMES this year!!! Yes, we have a spoiled little man! He came to our house, 2 different friend houses and at school. Busy bunny for sure!

We all had a very nice visit with my Mum. So glad she was able to be with us for a couple days.

Fun in the snow

Well it seems winter FINALLY arrived (in the Spring) this past Thursday. It snowed and snowed and snowed…so much so, that most flights in and out of DIA were cancelled. Unfortunately this included a flight my Mum was supposed to be on for a weekend visit with us. We were all so bummed out Thursday morning when we found out her trip would be cancelled. Thankfully all the stars lined up (and there were a lot) and she was able to reschedule her trip for this coming weekend. Phew!
