Microsoft Xmas Party

Last night Steve and I went to the Microsoft Holiday Party. It was nice "date night" out. It's always a treat to dress up and go someplace special :)

Yoga Time

One of Devin's new favorite things is practicing Yoga with Mommy :) Could he be any cuter?!?!?!

Black Eye Part 2

It has now been 5 days since Devin's couch incident. Here is a picture I took this morning. My poor baby! He hates looking at it. Hopefully it will start to get lighter soon.

My poor little guy has his first black eye! On Friday night he was playing a game with some friends and ran into the back of a couch. Ouch! I took this picture on Saturday morning. It seems to be getting darker and darker. Today it looks pretty bad, but he didn't want his picture taken. I think he is embarrassed by it a little :(

1st time bowling...

Today we went to Zac and Sydney Conti's 4th birthday bowling party. This was the 1st time Devin had been to a bowling alley. He got right into the groove of it and had a fun time with the other kids. He even got a spare and a strike :) He ended up bowling a 93. Not bad for our first timer. I think we will be doing this again soon :)

 

Happy Halloween!!!!

We all had so much fun this Halloween. We started off at our neighbor Amy & Mike's home for a little pre-party and some dinner. Soon the kids were all ready to hit the road. Our little Thomas ran from house to house and had such a fun time with his little friends. We are now left with great memories and too much CANDY!!!!!

 

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Friday Steve took a day off and we headed to Colorado Springs to visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We all had such a great time. This Zoo is so nice and could not be set in a more pretty area. Steve and I loved feeding the giraffes. Devin was a little scared, but he liked watching us do it. Devin did have his first pony ride, which he seemed to enjoy. We ended up getting a yearly pass since I know we will be going back.

SNOW!!!

This morning we woke up to our first snow dusting in Castle Rock (at least that we have seen). And man is it chilly out there. About 32 degrees...burrrrr!!! Defiantly time to pull the winter clothes out. I have started making scarves as well...better kick that project into hi-gear ;o) Shots taken this morning.

Freaky Friday!!

Today was Freaky Friday at Devin's school. The kids were asked to dress "crazy" and different. I had a time with this one...the shear fact of my kid leaving the house looking out of sorts was hard for me, but Steve convinced me I could do it ;0). It's hard to mismatch boy clothing, since everything is pretty neutral, but we did our best. Devin had a fun time at school today. He is now on Fall break for the next week. Yeah, I get my little buddy back for a while :o)

SO SPOILED!!!!

Devin was very excited last week to get a package in the mail just for him (he loves mail with his name on it). We came home and ripped it open. It was like Christmas! Ba & Dadu sent him a bunch of Halloween stuff. He was so excited! The train is his favorite (surprise surprise), although he does really like the pj's as well. He looked so cute in them. I will have to take a picture and post in another entry. Tabby (one of his sweet babysitters) gave him one of the Milky Way bars last weekend after dinner. He LOVED LOVED LOVED that!!!! Halloween treats have come early this year :o) Thanks Ba & Dadu!!

Thomas the TRAIN!!!!

Last weekend we went to A Day Out With Thomas at the Colorado Rail Museum in Golden. It was a surprise for Devin up until the night before. He was so excited. We headed to Golden early Saturday morning. Parked our car and took a bus to the Museum. Devin was happy and excited just with that. He was beside himself when he saw the real life Thomas and all the fun things that were set up. He played with train tables, legos, got a Rosey the Train tattoo (fake of course), rode on Thomas, watched the model trains, climbed into a few of the old trains and then finally ate lunch. When we finally got back to our car, he passed out within minutes. It was a fun day for all of us.

 

Nishal Visits!!!

We were so excited when Nishal called and said he was coming to visit us in a couple days. We haven't seen him since June, so this was a very special treat for all of us. He arrived late on Friday night and was with us through Monday morning. We went to the Denver Zoo on Saturday and then over to some friends for dinner. Sunday was football football football. All three of the guys watched :). We did have some of our super fab neighbors drop by in the evening as well. We had a great time with him and were sad to see him go. He, along with my parents will be visiting in November. I am counting the days!!!!!!!!!

 

Just maybe the next Wedding Singer...

Devin had a hard time letting me go today when I took him to school. Poor guy! Most the of the little ones today were crying. Must be something in the water. I came home feeling a little bummed out, so I decided to watch some movie clips of our little guy. I came across this one and laughed and laughed. Thought I would post it. American Idol has nothing on this kid :). Enjoy!!!

Training for the Olympics!!!!

I took a few mini movies of Devin "exercising". He apparently learned this in pre-school. My techy combined the movies I took and put them to music. So funny!!! Hope you enjoy and laugh as much as Steve and I did.

Our Little Chef!!!

One of Devin's favorite things to do is cook and bake with me. He is a great helper. He is pretty good with the hand mixer and can even add ingredients if I need them. Here are a couple pictures of us making pizzas the other night. He added his favorite toppings, black olives and turkey pepperoni. He was pretty proud of himself. Maybe we have the next Bobby Flay on our hands ;)

Elitch Gardens

Last week Microsoft had a family day at Elitch Gardens. This was our 1st visit there. We all had a fun time. Devin found all the rides he was big enough to ride and had a blast. He also LOVED watching the big roller coasters. I think he gets that from his Daddy, the other roller coaster lover. It was a nice family day with beautiful weather.

Golf ON!!

Here are a couple pictures of our little "Tiger". He loves whacking those balls around. He is pretty serious about his game too. I had a hard time breaking his concentration for a smile.

Trip to Santa Rosa

1st Day of Preschool

Well the time has come for school. Despite Mommy & Daddy being nervous about this day, it went perfectly. Devin was sooooo excited for his 1st day. He did so well. No tears at all (at least on his part). His teacher said he had a great time and followed directions well. He came out of class with a big smile and a "I had fun in there Mommy". We took him out for pizza and he is now soundly napping. The excitement must have taken it out of him. Steve and I were so very proud of him today. Our baby is a big boy now :)
